Lynora Williams, Blue Avocado Senior Editor, has been a public interest communicator for more than 30 years. Her work has spurred action on issues from famine in northeast Africa to AIDS in the United States. She has held a variety of leadership positions in nonprofit organizations based in New York City, Khartoum, Atlanta and Washington, DC.
Lynora has contributed to Connectivity: People and Place, Responsive Philanthropy, Black Scholar, Guardian (New York) and many other publications; she served as web content editor for the 2007 Emmy-award winning HBO Addiction Project.
